PNo. 31: Thank you Renz

this is a shout out to Renz.
I wanted to say thank you again... for your efforts in Operation Gamjaft.  I know that i already vetoed it because my mom didn't want me to go. *  But like i've said before.. it was a big deal to me.. that someone would actually go around and try to start it, instead of just going along with the bunch of talk that i keep hearing.  So. thank you for your attempt. it's greatly appreciated.. even though i said no... sorry guys.. those that wanted to see me at formal.

*For those who do not know what Operation Gamjaft was:
Operation Gamjaft was a campaign started by a couple of people... (i think isabel, paley, and renz?)  It's orginal initials was G.M.A.J.A.F.T but that wasn't pronounce-able so they changed it to Gamjaft.  Now, for the acronym.  Get Michele And Julian A(?) Formal Ticket.  not sure what the 2nd A stand for.. but the meaning is there.  took me a couple of days to figure out what it actually stood for... (cuz they wouldn't tell me)  Then when I found out, I asked Renz about it.. and he said that he was honestly gonna do it.. and asked me how much formal tickets were.  Yea... they're 90$ presale (i don't have a ASB card).  Then he asked me if i actually wanted to go.  Well.. I thought about it.. for a long time.  At first, I told him yes.. if we could actually get enough money scraped together.  Then I thought about it again.. and then I realized how likely it was that we actually would get the money (which was really likely... I think.. people wanted to see me at formal with michele?)  But then... i thought again... and it was sort of rushed.. being that i had not been planning to go to formal at all.. and then. My mom doesn't even want me to go to any dances this year.. so i figured i should respect her cuz of all that she's done for me already.  (a lot...)**

so yea..
Thank You again Renz.
(sorry that my explanation of GAMJAFT was longer than your Thank You)

**btw mom.. I was originally gonna see what would happen if we collected all of the money and then ask you if i could go to formal.

PNo.29: Sundayy!!

wow.
been a while since i posted :P (or maybe not)

hmm.

Frost crawled slowly along the edges of the window as snowflakes drifted down onto the snow-laden ground outside.  Swaths of blankets surrounded me, causing warm drafts of air to surround my skin.  I curl my fingers around my mug of hot chocolate.  Amidst the sea of brown drink, islands of pale marshmallow begin to melt slowly, creating white swirls in the deep cocoa beverage.  Placing the lip of the cup against my frozen ones, I take a sip and let the coziness run down my throat and flow through my body.

On the side stood a Christmas tree.  It was wrapped with all of its ornaments and decorations that glistened as the candlelight and illuminated the room with a soft glow.  Below the magnificent green giant sat a multitude presents, each one in its entirety- carefully wrapped complimented by a neatly tied bow with its ribbons dangling down.

A radio played Christmas music off to the side.  The sound of bells jingling and voices singing my favorite tunes floated into my ear.  Accompanying the notes was the sweet scent of baked cookies that still hung in the air, some sitting on a plate and yet to be eaten.  The fire cackled as it burned its fueling wood to ashes.  Above the fire hung hand-sewn stockings, empty.  But I know that the spaces were just waiting to be filled.

The night continued to pass on as drowsiness snuck up behind me and caught me in its trap.  I began to drift off into a dream of a vast winter wonderland and workshop of toys.  I could’ve sworn I heard a jingle of bells on the roof right before I slipped into a slumber.

Can i have that (plus a little more) for Christmas? <3

too bad I'm not even gonna be home on the 25th...

oh wells. Saturday was fun! (:

today wasn't too bad either.  I got to talk to PSY today! :P

PNo.29: Day after Thanksgiving.

A story i heard today:

Once upon a time... a girl liked a boy, but also secretly liked another.  The 2nd boy and the girl were friends and he was trying to guess her crush.  The girl decides to tease him by making her clues match up to him too.

the boy didn't realize it at all

and he just let it go.  But it's okay...cuz the girl waited for him... Well... eventually she got impatient and just told him.. but still she waited till he gave her an answer to that too.

<3

what a cute story ^.^

PNo.25: Weekly write #10

I changed this from my weekly write.

Dear God,

They say, God, that you can do anything.  I’ve heard about the stories of your miracles.  My mom told me that you could do anything.  Well.  For Christmas, I just want to ask you for one thing.  Santa, can you make this work?  They told me that I don't have much of a chance so I was just wondering, if you could just grant my wish a little earlier?

With love and care,

Julian Yang

here's the original:

Dear Santa,

How are you this year?  Are you busy now that Christmas is just around the corner?  I can’t wait ‘til Christmas!  The city workers already put out the Christmas lights on the lampposts and Thanksgiving hasn’t even past yet!  Wow, this is making me even more anxious for that special time to come again.  There’s only a month left, can you believe it?  All this love and giving gifts…  Which brings me to the topic of what I would like for Christmas.  Before you put me on the naughty children list, I really want to apologize.  I’m sorry for being a bad boy, but I just can’t help it.  Susie’s pigtails were just begging me to pull them.  They were just asking for a little pull.  And what could I do?  I had to satisfy those two strands of braided hair.  I’m really sorry about that hair-pulling incident.  Well, anyways, just please don’t put me on the naughty boys list.  I really am trying my best to be on my best behavior.  For your information, it’s very hard for a little boy like me to resist all of those temptations.  That hair-pulling thing wasn’t even that bad… I think you get the point, right Santa?

They say, Santa, that you can do anything.  I’ve heard about the stories of your magical factory.  My mom told me that you could make anything.  Well.  For Christmas, I just want to ask you for one thing.  Santa, can you give my mom a new heart?  The doctors told me that she doesn’t have much time left the way things are going so I was just wondering, if you could just deliver my present a little earlier.  I really love my mom and I don’t want to see her leave.

With love and care,

Johnny

PNo.24: Another super short post

I need you the most when I'm trying to push you aside.

PNo.17: Brannen Weekly Write

*note* this is going to be used for my brannen weekly write.. out of no clue of what to write :P
so everyone please help me and correct it ;)

Sunday is a very routine day.  Yet, it still retains its own characteristic qualities.  I woke up this morning on the couch, wondering how I got there.  (This was quickly replaced by the realization that I had fallen asleep on the couch yesterday night, only because of my pure laziness to walk to my bed.)  After a quick shower, I get to the kitchen table and wolf down the breakfast awaiting me: chicken pot pie- fresh from the microwave.  While putting on my shoes while the garage door opened, I noticed a funny sound going on with the motor opening the door.  But then I just ignored it and got into the car.  We first picked up Raymond at his house to take him with us to church.  After all, it is the Sabbath.  When we arrived at 9881 Trask Ave., Garden Grove (the church address), I found my thoughts wandering.  "Well," I reasoned "Better than just sitting there and doing nothing at all."  Then, Pastor Johnny approached me and asked "Hey, can you do me a favor?"  And obviously, I said yes, with him being the pastor it's the polite thing to do.  Johnny ended up having me rip Hawaiian sweet rolls into "bite size" pieces.  After I finished tearing apart the bread and delivered the platter to him, the service had started.  First it was worship, then followed by the sermon.  The random torn-up bread made its appearance at that point.  Apparently, it served two purposes.  One was to make the analogy of Jesus being the bread of life in Johnny's sermon.  The other was just for the entire English congregation to enjoy.  Following the sermon was men's (and boys') and women's ministry.  I don't know what the girls were up to, but we ended up continuing our planning for the no-longer-a-secret "Sisters' Appreciation Night", which is suppose to take place on the night of the twenty-seventh of November- otherwise known as Thanksgiving.  I got assigned to helping Brian design the invites, since there was only a Mac with Illustrator, none of which Brian knew how to use (but he's a REALLY good artist).  I like the whole idea of an "appreciation night" but I don't see the point why Johnny wanted to make it a "surprise" if he was going to reveal it to the girls 2 weeks before.  After service ended, there wasn't much left for me to do.  Not feeling hungry, I entertained myself as I waited for my parents to finish eating (our church serves lunch).  Popping out my cellphone, I started a game of Sokoban.  Pastor Yu's kids (three of them) crowded around me, trying to "help" me solve the puzzle.  Finally, it was time for me to go back home.  When we tried to drop off Raymond at his house, we found that none of his parents were home.  So, we ended up taking him home with us, where he waited for fifteen minutes for his mother to pick him up.  And here I am now, writing this journal entry.  I think I shall start on my homework after this final word.

wow.. that is probably one of the longest posts i have ever posted..
